DJ Janis Short is having an early Birthday Party at her HangOut Club on Monday, March 26 and Alice in Wonderland is the theme, so it should be a cracking night!  Janis's actual birthday is on the 30th and she will be celebrating on the day at Zorro's Tavern, so please make a note for your diary!

Happy St Patrick's Day everyone! I hope everyone is having a good time and if you can't get out to the local pub because the weather is so bad (well it is in the UK with snow and ice!) you can log into Second Life and celebrate Ireland's great day with people from all over the world.  I went over to the Saint Patrick's Town sim to join in the fun.  I had a  green coat that I'd bought from Valentina E's glamorous Store.  The chic coat is called Meghan and it looks just like the style that Meghan Markle, our soon to be Princess when she marries Prince Harry,  occasionally wears. Go and visit Saint Patick's Town and dance the jig to some brilliant Irish tunes, I had a smashing time!

Happy 9th Rez Day Ed!

It's Ed Follet's 9th Rez Day today.  Ed met Hibiscus and I for a Rez Day game of Skippo and a glass of champagne to celebrate his big day. He's going over to Zorro's Tavern later where Rob is putting on a great Rez Day Party for him. And yes! Ed beat me and Hib at Skippo too! Happy Rez Day Ed!!

The Sad Loss Of Jude

I heard some really sad news yesterday that Jude Christos has passed away.  Jude and Yorkie had been regulars at the HangOut Club and beautiful Jude had always been so full of fun, she and Yorkie always danced the night away at the many SL parties that we went to and everyone loved Jude. May I offer my condolences to Jude's family and friends, she will be deeply missed.

After The Italian Elections On Sunday Take A Trip To The Virtual Italian Village of Ciampi And Chill

I looked in the SL Destination Guide today and the first place on the list was  a beautiful virtual Italian village called Ciampi, so I thought I would go over and have a look around.  As everyone must be aware by now there was a real life General Election in Italy last Sunday when the main political parties were beaten by the populist parties. The winners are now in the process of forming a coalition government.  Good luck to our friends in Italy, you have exciting times ahead and I wish you well!  Second Life's Ciampi village is a gorgeous place to visit, it's very well designed and gives that authentic rustic feel with its little cobble stoned streets and charming  buildings and shops.  From the centre of Ciampi I wandered down to the very stylish PortoNuovo Harbour;  I could  just imagine sitting there with a cup of coffee and just letting the world go by.  There is a large church in the centre of Ciampi as well, which would make a romantic setting for an SL wedding.  Go over and have a look at Ciampi, take a virtual picnic and a bottle of Italian wine and chill!

Truth Hair Has A Great Stylist Hud To Alter The Hairstyle

I just love shopping for hair in Second Life, trying all the demos on is such fun.  One of the stores I really like to visit is Truth Hair.  I went over to see their new styles the other day and as usual I couldn't resist buying another hairstyle from them.  I bought a style called Farryn and it's very elegant with a long loose plait and the hair texture and colour is lovely and very natural looking. SL hair technology is still moving forward and for the first time my hair package from Truth Hair contained a Stylist Hud as well as the Hair Colour Hud. The Stylist Hud lets you change the hairstyle, I could have a fringe or a side parting, the plait can be moved to the back or over alternate shoulders and there are also different sizes to suit all avatars. This is a great feature and the hair was still only 300 Lindens, which is very reasonable with such variations on the style.  Now I'll have to check the other stores to see if they are offering Stylist Huds too, more excuses for trying on those fantastic demos!

Beautiful Clocks With Adjustable Time Zones From Kazza

Time is a funny thing, tomorrow never comes, yesterday is gone but it's always 'now'.  Some people say there is no such thing as time, that we have many different versions of ourselves doing things in different dimensions, or slightly different frequencies, making different choices. A bit like quantum mechanics where you can have different outcomes from the same source of energy, like I may have put the cat out this morning, but one of my other personas left the cat warming himself by the fire and as in the quantum entanglement, the cat was really asleep upstairs on the bed after all. Crazy thought, but science is proving to be very strange, even Geordie Rose said that quantum computers could overlap dimensions and I guess we can be in SL and in real life at the same time! I went on holiday in Majorca a few years ago and experienced two New Year's Eves on the journey home. One midnight on the plane and one midnight when we landed as we crossed the time zone. Time is such an important part of our lives and in Second Life we are meeting people from different time zones every day. For instance friend Hibiscus is in Canada, so she is five hours behind my time in the UK, then again there is Second Life time which is equivalent to Pacific Standard Time, so it all gets a bit confusing as we meet up to go to the clubs and events inworld. That's why when I saw a promotional notice for a set of wall clocks with adjustable time zones from a great store in SL called Kazza I headed over to have a look.  I was totally smitten when I landed near these beautiful timepieces after teleporing to the store, they are works of art and they have a menu so that you can change the time to whatever time-zone you want.  At first I thought that each individual clock was for sale for 399 Lindens, but to my surprise you purchase the whole collection for that price. Needless to say, so far I have three clocks on display for London time, Canada time and Second Life time and I plan to put the others out too. If you visit Kazza have a look around, I've bought some beautiful furniture and other items from the store as well, Kazza's work is top quality.

Grand Opening of Curei's Floating Gallery On Saturday 24th February

It was during one of the many group chats that go on in Second Life that I heard about Curei Resident's new Gallery.  Curei kindly invited me to go along for a preview of her Gallery before the grand opening, so I accepted her offer and I was teleported up to 'Curei's Floating Gallery"  Curei has  her beautiful photography on display as well as some amazing sculptures by a guest artist. The Gallery is a nice place to relax and to take your friends to, there is a Jazz Corner where you can listen to some jazz music and a meditation room as well as the main display areas.  Curei and I did a little meditation while we listened to the haunting music she has playing throughout the rest of the Gallery. Curei says "This is a place to renew one's soul.  This is a place for your relaxation and enjoyment.  This is a place to return to as often as you wish." and it really is, Curei has created a place of tranquillity and beauty. The grand opening of Curei's Floating Gallery is on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th February at Inspiration Island. Go along and chill.

Happy Valentines Day everyone!  I hope you all have a great time today.  I went over to Valentine Town in Second Life for a look at this year's love themed sim.  There are plenty of shops if you want to buy that last minute Valentine's card or gift in the cute town.  I hopped aboard the Tunnel of Love ride, not so good on your own, but still fun, and it took me through some romantically lit tunnels and out into other parts of the beautifully built sim.  Go over for a visit, either on your own or with your SL boyfriend or girlfriend and have a fantastic time! I'll be looking at some more romantic SL sites throughout the day.

Congratulations To Muckers! The Popular SL Club Celebrates Its 8th Anniversary!

One of SL's most popular clubs celebrated its 8th Anniversary tonight, yes Muckers, owned by Brucie Lusch is eight years old!  Amazing how time has flown past, Muckers is a wonderfully friendly venue with some of the best music in town.  Tonight our dj was Minxy and it was posh frocks and rock music with some top songs from 2010.  I donned my best red dress and headed over to Muckers with friend Ed Follet and we had a great evening.

Congratulaions Brucie on Muckers' 8th Anniversary!
